    The present description relates to a display pixel (3') that is intended to be placed on and attached to a panel (2) of a display screen (10), the display pixel (3') comprising: a light-emitting region (8) comprising at least one light-emitting diode, LED; a support (9) that is transparent to the radiation emitted by the light-emitting region (8), the height of the support (9) being greater than 5 µm; and an interlayer (12) made of a solid material, the interlayer (12) being transparent to the radiation emitted by the light-emitting region (8) and being inserted between the light-emitting region (8) and the support (9), the refractive index of the interlayer (12) being strictly lower than 1.5 and being lower than the refractive index of the support (9) with a refractive index difference of 0.2 or greater. The invention also relates to the corresponding display screen (10), to a method for manufacturing the pixels (3'), and to a method for manufacturing the screen (10).

The light source radiates light into the light guide component via an end face. The light guide component includes outcoupling elements protruding at the rear side for light outcoupling out of the opposite front side of the light guide component. The light guide component is in front of the main lighting module such that at least a part of the light guide component is within the field of view of the main lighting module. The outcoupling elements has a truncated shape with plane end faces. The plane end faces are oriented parallel to the front side of the light guide component and/or perpendicular to the main radiation direction and/or inclined in an intermediate orientation.

    A thin film optical lens and method for coating an optical substrate serves to apply alternating layers, with varying thicknesses, of a high index dielectric material and a low index dielectric material on first and second surfaces of an optical substrate. The high and low index dielectric materials are layered through thin film deposition. The low index dielectric material is SiO2. The high index dielectric material is ZrO2 and/or Indium Zinc Oxide. The spectral results from application of high and low index dielectric materials reduce infrared radiation, block HEV light transmission, and reduce backside ultraviolet reflections, while also increasing visible (ultraviolet) light transmission through the optical substrate. Thus, the layering of dielectric materials on the first surface of optical substrate reflects up to 40% of the infrared radiation; and the second surface of optical substrate transmits 99% of ultraviolet light in the wavelength range between 300 to 400 nanometers.

The ROIC is configured to read, from the memory, the negative bias voltage for the PDA and the nominal breakdown voltage for each pixel in the PDA, determine a difference between the negative bias voltage for the PDA and the nominal breakdown voltage for each pixel in the PDA, and adjust an arm/disarm bias voltage for each pixel in the PDA based on the difference between the negative bias voltage for the PDA and the nominal breakdown voltage for each pixel in the PDA.
