    The present invention relates to a method of treating solid tumor by administering to a human subject an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) comprising an antibody to FOLR1 conjugated via a hydrophilic linker to exatecan. The ADC is administered at a dosage of between 40 mg/m and 200 mg/m. In one embodiment, the ADC is conjugate rinatabart sesutecan (Rina-S). When administered at specified dosages and schedules, the ADC can reduce tumors size and is effective to treat cancers resistant to standard therapies, such as radiation therapy, chemotherapy or immunotherapy. The ADC may be used in combination with other anti-cancer drugs.
