    To allow a radiation imaging apparatus to perform imaging processing of determining the end of fluoroscopy without performing synchronous communication to and from a radiation generation apparatus, the radiation imaging apparatus includes: a radiation detection unit which includes a plurality of pixels for radiation detection arranged therein and which is to be used for generation of image data based on radiation applied to the radiation detection unit; and a determination unit configured to determine that irradiation of the radiation has stopped when a reduction amount of an irradiation amount of the radiation obtained from a detection pixel included in the plurality of pixels is larger than a reduction threshold value.

    A method of inkjet printing an elevated structure on a print medium includes depositing radiation curable marking material on the print medium, such that an array of spaced apart drops is formed, curing the spaced apart drops by irradiating the drops, forming the drops into a plurality of spaced apart, out-of-plane structures by repeatedly depositing a further drop of radiation curable marking material on each drop and curing the further drops, thereby adhering the further drops to the drop, wherein each repetition increases a height of the structures with respect to the surface. A backlight is provided behind the print medium to realize visual effects for an observer on the front side.

After radiation of blue laser beam, a width of a lower end part of a molten region generated in the laminated metal foil is longer than a width of a midship part of the molten region in a cross section along a lamination direction of the copper-based foils of the laminated metal foil.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

The present application describes improvements over current IMS and IMC apparatus and methods through an autofocus component including a plurality of apertures in the autofocus system, such as a plurality of apertures arranged in 2 dimensions. As a plurality of apertures is used, the autofocus system provides redundancy in the event that measurement of focus on the sample from the illuminating radiation passed through one or more of the apertures fails so as to reduce the number of unsuccessful autofocus attempts.
