    [Problem] To provide an air conditioning device for a vehicle, the air conditioning device being capable of extending the life of a compressor by suppressing the number of instances of on/off operation in on/off control. [Solution] An air conditioning device 1 for a vehicle includes: a refrigerant circuit R having a compressor 2, a heat dissipation part 4 for heating air, a pressure reduction part 6, and a heat absorption part 9; a heat medium circuit 61 having a heat generator and capable of being thermally connected to at least one of the heat radiation part 4 or the heat absorption part 9; and a control device 32. The control device 32, during a heating operation or a cooling operation, switches to an air conditioning capacity consumption mode for thermally connecting a part of the refrigerant circuit R and the heat medium circuit 61 when the rotation speed of the compressor 2 is the minimum rotation speed and the air conditioning capacity of the refrigerant circuit R to the request air conditioning load becomes excessive.

    A method for quantifying retrograde trans-synaptic degeneration (rTSD) in a patient includes receiving optical coherence tomography (OCT) image data associated with a left retina and a right retina of the patient. The method further includes analyzing the OCT image data to determine a thickness of one or more retinal layers of the left retina and one or more retinal layers of the right retina. The method further includes, based at least in part on the determined thicknesses, determining a value of an rTSD index that is indicative of a level of rTSD in the patient. The rTSD index can be based at least in part on the thicknesses of retinal layers connected to a left optic radiation of the patient versus the thicknesses of retinal layers connected to a right optic radiation of the patient.

    Disclosed herein are methods for determining suitability of biology-guided radiotherapy (BgRT). These methods may include converting diagnostic positron emission tomography (PET) imaging data to simulated imaging data consistent with images obtained using PET detectors of a BgRT radiotherapy system. The simulated imaging data may be used to evaluate the suitability of BgRT by evaluating a first metric indicating a contrast noise ratio for a tumor, a second metric indicating a PET tracer activity concentration, and a third metric indicating a radiation dose to the tumor. Also disclosed herein are methods for generating synthetic or simulated list mode LOR data from one or more PET images. The synthetic or simulated list mode data may be used for testing BgRT algorithms and/or determining whether BgRT is suitable for a patient.
