Separation of materials for recycling of a used solar module, may be accomplished through the application of an electric field. The solar module may be processed utilizing one or more of grinding, shaking, drying, sieving, slicing, electrodynamic separation, glass removal cutting, shaving, shredding, application of fluid jet(s), blasting, application of ultrasound, application of radiation, and/or application of solvents. According to particular embodiments, it may be desirable to run electrostatic separation of materials without the presence of glass, in particular without the presence of small glass particles. For example, if around > 90wt% of original glass is removed, a separation process can proceed with higher effectiveness.

A laser processing system according to the present disclosure comprises: a laser processing device that irradiates a processing object with laser light; a light detector that detects return light including at least one of heat radiation, visible light, or reflected light generated by irradiating the processing object with the laser light; and a control unit that controls the laser processing device. The control unit: generates, on the basis of the return light detected by the light detector, waveform data indicating the intensity of the return light during processing of the processing object; extracts a feature amount in the waveform data; identifies a varied first parameter, from among a plurality of parameters relating to processing of the laser processing device, on the basis of the feature amount; and changes a second parameter, from among the plurality of parameters, on the basis of the first parameter.

An implantable marker is configured to deliver a therapy to a patient and includes a marker and a target isotope. The marker is configured to enhance visibility of a treatment region of the patient when implanted in the patient and viewed with an imaging modality. The target isotope is coupled to at least a portion of the marker, and has a non-radioactive state and a radioactive state. At least a portion of the target isotope is configured to be induced from the non-radioactive state to the radioactive state when the target isotope is irradiated with one or more of gamma rays, neutrons, alpha particles, beta particles, or ions. The target isotope emits a localized therapeutic dose of radiation to target tissue adjacent the implantable marker when the target isotope is in the radioactive state.
